Hey I'm Ron Moore with today's Bible Minute.
In my hometown there was a wealthy man who gave generously--but with a catch. The building was to be named after him, or a big plaque was to be displayed prominently. The "glory" was directed to the man who gave.
The Christian life has a different "catch." We are not to absorb glory, but reflect it. The psalmist says in Psalm 115:1, "Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness."
The person following hard after Jesus understands that everything we have, everything we are, and everything we will be, everything we want to do is because of God's love and faithfulness. Therefore, the glory always belongs to Him.
