When describing our faith in Jesus, have you noticed it requires words with action? We walk with Him and serve. We trust Jesus by faith. You or I ask and seek His guidance and believe in His leading and grace.
As the fall gets started, we’re going to be surrounded by sports like college and pro football and the baseball playoffs headed to the World Series. Unlike what we see on TV, being a Christ Follower isn’t a spectator sport. The Lord calls on each of us to join in.
Specifically, the Bible tells us of the key activities needed in our lives: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42). “To the fellowship” here speaks both of the “iron sharpens iron” process between believers and in winning those around us to Jesus by disciple-making. Here’s to helping you and me put all of those words describing this amazing faith into action as
intentional Christ Followers.
