“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Family Quest

Have everyone say their birth date and then share their earliest memory.

Talk It Out

· Read Exodus 3:13–14. In light of these verses, what does Jesus mean by “I am”?

· Read Psalm 90:2. What does this verse tell us about Jesus?

· Why do you think knowing that Jesus is eternal is important?

Parent-Child Connection

The more we know about God, the more we begin to understand how amazing it is that He wants to include us in His plans. Our Creator lives outside of time. But He invented time so we could have a chance to live our lives. It gives us a chance to pursue Him. Just as we benefit from living within time, we also benefit from a God who is above and beyond our world.

Talk to God

As you pray, encourage your child to (1) thank Jesus for His eternal presence and (2) ask the Lord to help him believe in Jesus with all her heart and mind.
