"In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:6-9
Reflect
What trials are you facing right now? Have you found hope in Christ?
Are you going through a stressful situation? Have you been laid off from work? Are you looking for something more in life? Does the Lord seem distant to you?
Each of these circumstances are painful and hard, but here's a truth to hold onto: You are not alone. More important, God really is right there beside you.
Decide now to have victory on the other side as you lean into Christ to help you through. Learn to trust in Him at His Word. He will uphold you.
Even when you doubt, He is still there. It has been these times of questioning that I feel as though I'm walking through life in a cloudy mist. It is these times that He shows me how to trust Him with every area of my life.
Suddenly, spiritual breakthroughs come. Some are small, while others are monumental. But each of them are ways in which the Lord reveals Himself. He is more real than any of my words can describe. More real than this book you are holding.
Your circumstances probably aren't easy. Yet the spiritual breakthroughs that come are not a matter of us breaking through to God, but rather God breaking through to us. He is our strong warrior, pursuer and lover of our souls.
Pray
Lord, I need a spiritual breakthrough. I need a reminder that You are with me. I need some good news today. Amen.
